1965 was the year that was set to carve out Christopher’s career in Hollywood as the actor landed the part of Captain von Trapp in the musical movie The Sound of Music. This was just the beginning of six decades in Hollywood.
Christopher also holds the title for the oldest winner of an Oscar after taking home the award at 82 years old, in addition to being the oldest nominee at 88. Even at 90 years old, it looks as though Christopher has plenty of work lined up for the future.
