Amazingly, the Queen is the only person in the entire world who does not legally need a passport or any evidence of personal identity – now that’s a lot of power! So why is she the sole person who doesn’t need one?
Well, every UK passport is legally under her own name, meaning it’s not legally necessary for her to carry one. The UK passport reads, “Her Britannic Majesty requests in the name of Her Majesty to permit the bearer and holder to pass borders freely.”
