While the vast majority of NFL franchises do have a rule against fraternization – or cheerleaders and players getting together in social situations – it probably won’t surprise you that this can and does happen. In fact, cheerleaders sometimes actively seek romantic relations with the players even though it’s explicitly against the rules.
It certainly works on occasion – one NFL cheerleader quit her squad to marry a player. What might be surprising is that some girls openly admitted getting into the cheer game to “gold dig.” In fact, flirting with the players was known among cheerleaders as “Operation Unemployment.”
