From a pure passing standpoint, Fouts was one of the premier quarterbacks during his time in the league. The San Diego Chargers assured he would only play with them for the entirety of his career. The eventual Hall of Fame quarterback was the first player in NFL history to throw for at least 4,000 yard in three consecutive seasons from 1979 to 1982.
