The Alous were a baseball family. Matty Alou spent 15 seasons in the league, won a batting title, the 1972 World Series with Oakland and was a two-time All Star. Jesus made his way to the big leagues three years after his brother, also playing for the Giants alongside Matty. Jesus played 15 seasons, winning two World Series titles. Finally, there’s Felipe, who was the first Alou son to make the majors, also starting his career in San Fran. Felipe was a three-time All Star and became a manager after his playing days, winning Manager of the Year in 1994.
