Larry Brown may not have made it as a player (though he did make an Olympic appearance) but he spent more than three decades as a head coach, so we’ve decided he’s worthy of making this list.
Brown is estimated to be worth around $70 million and is the only head coach in history to win both an NCAA Championship and an NBA ring. A good chunk of Brown’s money came from a deal he signed with the New York Knicks, worth $50-60m over five years. But Brown never lasted that long with the Knickerbockers. But thankfully for him, he still walked away with $18.4 million after a settlement.
