Birkhall was commissioned at the same time as Balmoral as part of Prince Albert’s expansion and renovation project. It is now a summer home for Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, who actually spent their honeymoon there back in 2005. This home has been the auxiliary home for many young royals back in the day.

Birkhall

It was inherited by Charles after his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother passed away. The building itself dates back to the 18th century, and a BBC documentary revealed that it’s home to a variety of personal mementos belonging to the Royal Family. This is one of many homes this royal couple has access to. After all, Prince Charles is next in line to the throne.
