The Garden Cottage is another property that sits on the grounds of Balmoral, although it was Queen Victoria who got the most use out of this one. Apparently, during the 1800s, the royal would go here to eat her breakfast and write her diaries.
Much like the current monarch, Victoria was also a massive fan of the Scottish estate, and she would regularly write about how peaceful she found the place. It made her feel like she was a world away from all her troubles whenever she stayed there.
