As one of the most high-profile females to grace the entertainment world in the 21st century, Rita Hayworth really was a Princess fit for a Prince. By the 1940s, Rita already had two failed marriages, but she continued to rise in ranks of worldwide celebrity as an actress, dancer, and model. By 1949, Rita married Prince Aly Khan, the son of the Nizari Ismaili leader, Sultan Mohammed Shah.
However, the marriage only lasted four years, after Rita spotted Prince Khan dancing with fellow actress Joan Fontaine at the nightclub they met. After a messy divorce in 1953, Rita labeled her third husband as “stiff” and said he certainly wasn’t the man he made out to be when they first started courting. She then went onto have another two failed marriages until her passing in 1987.
