While this superstar comedy actor started out reasonably well, things didn’t stay that way for long. At age fifteen Carrey had to dropout of high school following financial hardship that befell the family. This was because Carrey’s father lost his job, which meant the teenager had to get several jobs himself, including being a janitor and a security guard.
Obviously, he didn’t stay stuck in this position, but it can be pretty hard to get out of, especially if you let it bring you down, but Carrey wouldn’t allow it. He pursued a career in comedy which led him to become the household name he is today and winning him his first leading role as Ace Ventura. Of course, he has had many top-tier roles since then and has won the hearts of many.
