Just two weeks after he’d first taken her home, it was finally time to return the fawn to the wild. He could tell how dependent she’d become on him.

The fawn had spent the first week sleeping on a shirt on his bed, to the point that she’d needed the shirt to be able to sleep. The animal followed him around everywhere and clearly saw him as her primary caregiver, something that Sasnauskas had been worried about.
