Longo had arrived at the stadium and was slowly putting on her pads for the game. She had only just learned how to put these pads on correctly and now she was preparing for her very first match in boys’ football.

Longo pulled on her number 28 jersey and was beginning to tighten up her cleats. She would only have one job on the field, to kick the ball, so she started visualizing swinging her leg, making contact, and the follow through. It was almost game time.
