Perhaps if LaVar simply knew how to incorporate a sense of balance into his deeds, people would understand his motives a little bit better. Perhaps if he let Lonzo do his thing, and simply backed off from the media a bit, things might be different – but he just loves to make controversial statements, such as the one he made about Lonzo’s UCLA team. When trying to justify why they didn’t win the championship, LaVar said, “You just can’t win a championship with three white guys.”
