Nadia Comaneci is the first person in the history of women’s gymnastics to ever score a perfect ten on the uneven bars. She met her future husband Bart Conner at an international gymnastics competition, but fate would have them meet again a couple decades later. Right before the fall of the Soviet Union and communism, the Romanian born Comaneci defected to the United States. Bart reconnected with her, and the two wed in 1996. They own a gym together in Kansas.
