Even cell phones were deciding to give up last week when the heatwave struck Britain. Cells and laptops were overheating all over the country, as their batteries weren’t created to withstand so much heat.
Not only this, but fire alarms were being set off by the heat, causing inconvenient and unexpected fire drills for schools, offices, and shopping malls all over the country. Britain really isn’t cut out for extremities in weather, but when they get very few heatwaves, what would the point be in adapting all their technologies to be able to work in exotic temperatures?
