Growing up in a small town in Louisiana, Steven apparently touched the hearts of many many people. One friend said their fondest memories of Steven included his ability to make people laugh and smile.
One old classmate of his remembers that Steven would almost always accidentally throw his retainer away, only to fish it out of the garbage can and stick it back in his mouth. Most importantly, Steven always had the uncanny ability to laugh at himself, even when he would do things like that.
