Hall made a name for himself as a prolific shutdown corner, but despite all of the hype he only ever made one Pro Bowl after trading to the Redskins. Hall was physically gifted, but critics say he didn’t have the brain to play at a higher level.

Many of the recoveries he made were due to his pure speed and strength rather than using his technique. He allowed the most receiving yards in coverage during several seasons and perhaps should have won something to earn his reputation.
