NFL players who are considered overrated

Hines Ward played his entire NFL career with the Steelers and helped them to win two Super Bowls, even winning the Super Bowl MVP award for scoring the game-clinching touchdown. He definitely had a great career, but some argue he shouldn’t be hailed as one of the best ever to play out wide.

Ward was known around the league for throwing cheap shots to get an advantage over opponents. While fans would love a player like that on their team, it doesn’t necessarily make him an all-time great because of it. Since he retired few laud him as one of the greatest, showing that the hype surrounding him soon quietened after he stopped playing.
