It was 1990, a scary 28 years ago, that Egypt was last seen in the World Cup, and as you can see, they not only are being given a slot this year, but our ranking of them isn’t too shabby at all. Interestingly enough, before 1990, the last time they even qualified to play z was in 1934! When you don’t get that many chances to play, it makes you appreciate what you have just a little bit more, and these guys will not want to squander this opportunity.
