The Yankees legend has also spent more time focusing on his foundation, Turn 2, working with children to teach leadership skills. It was founded over 20 years ago, during Jeter’s rookie season in 1996. Over the years, Turn 2 has raised over $23 million for youth programs. According to his Facebook page, last Spring his foundation took high schoolers on college tours and he hosted a very successful Celebrity Invitational. This past October Jeter and Turn 2 raised another $1 million at the 21st annual Turn 2 Foundation dinner.
