New scam has been targeting owners of lost dogs

The person who shared the text message said they didn’t respond to the kidnapper as they felt numb. They sent in a screenshot of parts of their conversation with the person demanding money, and it wasn’t long before others were reporting similar messages.

There was a theme with many of the messages, and it seemed that there might be a connection between them. Proving the connection would be a different story however, and the best prevention people can have is to make sure their dogs are safe at all times.
