New scam has been targeting owners of lost dogs

People know all too well how much we, as dog owners, love our pets. That bond we share with our dogs is putting pet owners in a vulnerable place as some people are actively seeking out our four-legged friends. They aren’t looking for dogs to pet and cuddle, instead, they are trying to make some quick cash by stealing them and holding the animal’s owner to ransom.

The poor dogs are being taken from their homes and then held against their will, most likely terrified, hoping their owners will come to their rescue. While some dogs are stolen to extort cash from their owners, others are taken for a much worse reason.
