New scam has been targeting owners of lost dogs

DogLost is a website based in the United Kingdom helping dog owners to search for their lost pets. They have noted there has been an increased demand for their services since October 2018. Since then, there have been over 70 incidents of missing dogs being reported on their site, as owners frantically try everything possible to bring their pets home.

It is a worrying trend, and DogLost noted that of those 70, there were four alone reported missing in Merseyside. The impact on dog owners is huge when their pets go missing. One woman from Merseyside would fall victim to dog theft, and she admitted it felt like her world had fallen apart following the loss of her little pooch.
