New scam has been targeting owners of lost dogs

DogLost is warning all dog owners about the scam to raise awareness. They have shared their figure with police across the entire UK, hoping that in spreading the word others can avoid falling into the scammer’s traps.

These scammers are only too aware that people will do pretty much anything to get their dogs back, even trusting a complete stranger for information. Paying upfront for any kind of information is not a good idea, and if money is demanded for information, there is a good chance the person isn’t being honest.
