New scam has been targeting owners of lost dogs

One user wrote into DogLost to share their own personal experience. They said that they too had received a text message from an anonymous person, demanding £15 upfront for a name and address to find their pet.

There is no guarantee this address has anything to do with the missing dog. The caller would later demand a further £10 when the person had collected their missing pooch. With money being asked for on collection, it makes it seem like these people know some concrete information, but the chances are they do not.
