Things took a turn for the worse when Demi was asked how Selena was during a trip to London, and the singer responded with “Ask Taylor,” according to E! News. Granted, that could have been an innocent enough response, but it certainly suggested that Gomez and Swift were regularly enjoying each other’s company when Demi wasn’t around.

Moreover, Lovato’s shade coincided with her saying that she and Selena were busy, along with a cryptic message that “if you can’t trust somebody, you can’t be friends with them.” All was not well in paradise.
