Stars who refused to be part of their show's reunion

Gilmore Girls was the comedy-drama that also helped to shape the naughties into their greatness. Although the show came to an end in 2007, Netflix helped to revive the series in 2016 as they reunited the original cast members. Well, most of them at least. One of the names missing from the list was none other than Melissa McCarthy. The actress says she was never asked to partake in the show, but the creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, has a good reason.

Amy states that everyone on the team, including Netflix, wanted Melissa to be a part of the show. However, she had been following the actresses career for many years and believed Melissa wouldn’t have the time to film. Thankfully, Amy later offered up a two-hour window for Melissa to arrive and shoot a small part for the show. Still, it wasn’t the leading role we were hoping for.
