That being said, we understand why there was such a big fuss. It wasn’t being they couldn’t enjoy their prom otherwise – it’s because of the principle. Sure, the kids could enjoy themselves regardless, but that doesn’t mean the fancy venue should be let off the hook.
They need to pay for their actions, just like everyone does when they do something wrong. If they really did know the night before that there wouldn’t be power, then it’s simply unacceptable to not inform the people ahead of time.
