Tara enjoyed being the party girl. She informed TIME in 2014 that she was one of the people responsible for bringing that culture to the media’s attention back in the 2000s. Reid referred to herself as the original party girl before people like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan were getting famous for their wild and reckless ways.

However, that image came with a price. It meant all the film roles she received fit that stereotype, and Tara was tired of playing the same character. She wanted to portray someone more mature.
