[post_page_title]Richard Rodgers[/post_page_title]
The American composer Richard Rodgers has made one of the most influential and significant contributions to music in the 20th century, credited with 43 Broadway musicals and over 900 songs. He’s one of two people to have received five of the most prestigious awards in the entertainment industry: a Grammy, Oscar, Tony and Pulitzer Prize.
However, after his passing in 1979, most of his posthumous wealth has come from his solo work, including ‘Something Good,’ and the movie version of ‘The Sound of Music.’ In addition, his collaborations with Lorenzo Hart, like ‘Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered’ has contributed greatly.
