in 2008, the world grieved when they learned of Heath Ledger’s tragic passing. The Australian actor, photographer and music video director had just concluded his role as the Joker for ‘The Dark Knight’ when his life came to a grievous end.
He made an estimated $20 million from the box office Batman franchise film and received many posthumous awards for his portrayal of the iconic Joker character. This included an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award.
