American author Michael Crichton has sold more than 200 million copies of his books, with more than a dozen having been adapted into movies. When he passed in 2008, his last book ‘Pirate Latitudes’ was discovered by his assistant and was published posthumously.
Steven Spielberg quickly acquired rights to adapt the book into a film. Later, the unfinished ‘Micro’ was discovered on his hard-drive and was published after it was completed by Richard Preston. In 2016, another novel was released titled ‘Dragon Teeth,’ and in 2019, ‘The Andromeda Strain’ was published: a collaboration between CrichtonSun LLC and Daniel H. Wilson.
