Due to his teeth being so large and the overbite being so severe, Evan was unable to close his mouth properly. He also had problems with his speech, not being able to pronounce certain words correctly. Evan hated his teeth. He would often get really upset about them, especially because they caused him to get bullied at school. Other children gave him the nickname of “rabbit boy”, and this not only caused a lot of distress for Evan, but it broke his parents’ hearts.
