This couple's date night was ruined by poor service, yet they left this positive note

Before they tied the knot and started their family, Makenzie and Steven had both worked as servers in restaurants. In fact, they had both worked at the local Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant in the Mall of America in Minnesota when they first clocked eyes on each other.

As they continued to work together, the pair struck up a bond that eventually turned into something much more. Alongside their burgeoning relationship, they both worked long and busy hours in the restaurant, not unlike the one they were experiencing during their date night.

As the couple realized that they had been in their servers shoes, they knew that they had been blaming the wrong person. It was not the waiter’s fault that they had not received their food or that their jug of water had taken so long to get to their table.

Instead, the restaurant was simply short-staffed and struggling to deal with the demand of the evening. Their server was tirelessly working 12 tables at once while juggling drinks orders at the bar. They were doing everything they could to keep up, and they weren’t grumbling about it at all.
