Humans have realized that these traits such as empathy, moral behaviors, and intelligence, can be used to train dogs as service animals. Many people who suffer from epilepsy cannot lead a normal life. They are constantly having seizures which can cause them to fall and seriously injure themselves.
These dogs have been trained to take care of their epileptic owners until their seizure episode is over. They will move objects out of the way and try to cushion the owners head with their bodies. Sometimes the dogs can even predict the seizures before they occur. This allows epileptic individuals the freedom to live their lives knowing that they will be taken care of during a seizure.
