All that having been said, we shouldn’t forget the fact Harry and Meghan lead very different lives to most of ours. Meghan was a successful actress, while Harry’s been a royal his entire life. Diana’s efforts to give her children a normal life notwithstanding, he isn’t a normal person.

So when Meghan said Kensington Palace was too “claustrophobic” despite not being raised in a palace, it sort of makes sense. They’re both fiercely independent people, who love entertaining their many friends. Viewed from that angle, it doesn’t seem so strange anymore, does it?
