While Meghan did look to Kate for inspiration on some things, she most certainly is doing her best to stand apart from her on others. It’s been well documented, for instance, that Kate is an avid amateur photographer, and snaps she took were even featured on Kensington Palace’s official social media.

Kate’s images, as well as those she’s featured in, are usually bursting with color. Many photos of Meghan on the Sussxes’ official account, however, are noticeably monochromatic. That’s not an accident. Photographer Glenn Grat said Meghan was “imagine-conscious” and that she chose black-and-white to “make an impression.”
