The surgery wasn’t going to be a walk in the park for Lily, she would have to be under the knife for a total of six hours. After such a grueling surgery she would then need to remain in recovery for a week.

During recovery, doctors and nurses would slowly encourage Lily to take small steps to try and get back up and moving as quickly as possible. The surgery was a success, but it meant that Lily had to spend a few months off from school.
