It’s fair to say that the British love their rowing mainly due to the prolific Oxford vs. Cambridge race. Yet, there is one man who epitomises British towing in all of its entirety – Steve Redgrave! After winning a whopping five gold medals in the Olympics, three gold medals at the Commonwealth Games and nine gold medals at the World Rowing Championships, Redgrave is not only the most successful British rower of all time; he is the most successful Olympic male rower in history. Now that’s impressive.
