Brett Favre became a legend in the Green Bay area after winning the Super Bowl at the end of the 1996 season. He was by far the best quarterback in the NFL in the mid 90s, after winning the league MVP Award three consecutive years from 1995 through 1997. This Super Bowl put him over the top, throwing for two touchdowns in the process. Desmond Howard’s 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown was the highlight of this Super Bowl.
