It is fitting that Candace Parker was teammates with Lisa Leslie, the first woman to ever dunk in a WNBA game, because Candace actually was the first woman to ever dunk in a college game.
When Lisa Leslie retired, Candace took full control of the Los Angeles Sparks, winning two MVP awards as well as a championship in 2016. In fact, she is the only player to ever win the MVP and Rookie of the Year award in the same season.
