The ultimate underdog, a lot of the younger audience members connected to his grit and fighting spirit. This was true with Connor Michalek, a six-year-old cancer patient. After a successful online campaign, Bryan spent the day with his superfan, making his wish come true. Sadly, Michalek passed away the following year. After his passing, the WWE founded Connor’s Cure, a non-profit focusing on pediatric cancer research.
