Jane was a homeless woman who ended up living in the Camden’s garage apartment. Before this, she had fled home because her mom’s live-in boyfriend had threatened her with bodily harm, and left her with no choice other than running away.
Though she was neither pregnant, or a mother, she tried to seek refuge at a shelter for teenage mothers, but was turned away. Eventually, she gets a job and attempts to turn her life around.
