Thankfully, Rocco was now in safe hands as Kelly immediately got her new dog to the vet. She knew he needed medical help to clear out the wound and get him back to full health. One quick checkup later, and the vet confirmed the injury had acquired a nasty infection.

However, it was nothing that couldn’t be fixed with a course of antibiotics. It didn’t end there. After the infection had all cleared, Rocco would have to head to the operating room to help heal the wound fully.
