In a turn of events, it turned out another police force might soon become the owners of a rescued pit bull. The police in Canada had been involved in a dog fighting raid and found around 30 dogs in Ontario who had all been chained to stakes. A national dog rescue group fought to protect the dogs and managed to save 18 from getting euthanized.

It was then a Florida shelter offered to take nine dogs and Dallas, a three-year-old pit bull from the raid. Now, Dallas has been enrolled in a program where prison inmates can train and care for their own dogs.
