Melissa Jeanette “Missy” Franklin is a Canadian-American swimmer who competes for USA. Amazingly, her Olympic debut was at the 2012 London Olympic Games, at age 17, where she astonished crowds and critics by winning a total of 5 medals, four of which gold.
She currently holds the world record in the 200 meter backstroke and was named American Swimmer of the Year after her remarkable performance in the 2012 Games. She says her favourite athlete is Natalie Coughlin!
