Russell Westbrook was an absolute monster this past year, averaging a triple double for the season. He also earned $38.6 million, two thirds of that coming from his salary ($26.6 million). Westbrook became the lone superstar on the team after Kevin Durant left, and he renegotiated his contract with the Thunder during the 2016 summer. The new deal added another $9 million to his salary in 2016-17. He also has a deal with Nike, and his second signature shoe was launched in 2016 (just in time for him to up his game).
