He signed a $105 million contract with the Washington Bullets ahead of the 1996-7 season. His paycheck went from $1.7 million a year to $9.7 and eventually all the way to $20.6 million when he played for the Denver Nuggets in 2002-03. Howard played 19 seasons averaging 13.4 PPG and 6.1 rebounds.
