Brazilian forward, Rivaldo was a skillful and hugely supported soccer player, until the 2002 World Cup. Brazil were winning a group game against Turkey thanks to a controversial penalty goal and were time-wasting in the remaining minutes. Rivaldo went to take a corner but didn’t try and retrieve the ball, so a Turkish player kicked it at him, hitting the Brazilian in the leg. Rivaldo flung himself to the ground pretending he had been caught in the face, getting his opponent sent off in the process.
