But the story didn’t end there. After Dykstra was out of the picture, Mickie James was still in the wrestling scene, but once she and Cena broke up – things started to change. Even though James was a five-time Women’s champion, Cena had a lot of clout in the WWE scene, and he reportedly wanted to phase her out, as well – and eventually she did get phased out. Whether or not it was all thanks to Cena is unclear, but many people believe it was.
